Not necessarily evil, he wanders the earth, a hidden spirit only visible to those who are about to die. He doesn't cause death - it only reveals his presence. A lonely and solitary figure, he has forgotten where he came from, or what he is, or whether or not his state is the result of some curse. He only knows he is alone.
Although he is invisible to mortal eyes, his presence is often heralded by a flock of ravens. A particularly intelligent and malefic looking one, the size of a falcon, accompanies him everywhere. He calls her Nyantara.
His mystic roses are sometimes given as tokens of his esteem to those he favors. They can prevent the person's imminent death but it is believed when he gives the last rose, he will cease to exist.
The owner of a rose may summon him (by mentioning his name in their profile) and command him. The extent of this control is unknown at this time.
