You see a tall man, with a tan and rugged complexion. His height reaches at what appears to be six feet - and not a dime more. It's a height that suits his medium build; like any corn-fed Westerner with a semblance of a work ethic, most of his weight is muscle, big arms with visible veins partially canopied by thick brown arm hair.
His face is gaunt, serious-looking. Medium-length brown hair is slicked backwards, tucked under a brown slouch hat. He has a short, yet remarkably brown beard. His eyes are a darker shade of brown, like dark molasses. Looking closely at his left cheek, you can see a collection of red and brown lines, ugly fissures mostly covered by his hair. Most of the time, he appears casually alert; his eyes shift to notice what's around him, and his body tends to instinctively turn to confront anything unnatural.
As for gear, this man appears to be reasonably dressed for the times. He wears a deerskin jacket, brown and tanned with the sleeves rolled halfway up his forearms. He wears a pale blue shirt underneath the buttoned jacket, and a dark blue bandana around his neck. A brown bandolier crosses his chest, draped over his left shoulder. Around his waist, over the jacket, is a plain black pistol belt, with a Colt Single Action Army tucked into the holster. His trousers are beige, tucked into a pair of brown boots. An olive canvas pack rests on his back.
