Description:
Samantha Kade is the daughter of famed adventurer and treasure hunter Zachary Kade. Unfortunately her father has contracted some mysterious illness and, with his health failing, directed her to go out into the world and seek her own destiny so that she may live her own life.
She has journeyed to Shartak seeking to make a name for herself and find fame and fortune, as he wished for her to do. But rumor has it the search for treasure and wealth might just be a cover for her true goal: To seek out a rumored mythical cure in the heart of the island that she believes might save her father's life.
Despite being a treasure hunter and adventurer, Samantha has a good heart and a soft spot for those in need. She is also fascinated by stories of the natives and hopes to be able to seek out and befriend them once she's gotten established.

Recent developments:
Since coming to Shartak, Samantha has become quite fond of the natives, and especially of Raktam. She greatly respects the wise shaman Nihlia, the heart of Raktam, as well as the fierce and noble Cobalt Manticore who protects it from all harm.
While her searches have not yet yielded the miracle cure she seeks, she did discover information on ancient native artifacts, glowing crystal pendants, and was able to return it to Raktam allowing a small number to be created before the knowledge of how was once again lost.
While exploring the island, Samantha met Darwin Saint-Luke and Ruhisai, and has since become good friends with them. Together they trekked across the island for a time, trading stories and helping each other out. Samantha came to trust them enough to do something she has not done with any others: reveal more of what happened with her father, how it connects to her, and why she must find some way to correct the situation. Darwin offered his prayers for Samantha, and they have since seemed to have a positive effect, for which she is grateful.
She also participated in a royal bear hunt, and though no official winner was ever announced it is believed she claimed the most kills. The mighty hunter Alzado gifted her with a rare alligator toothed necklace in recognition of this.
Since then, Samantha has explored the mystical peaks of the mountain, searching the legendary sacred space for clues to her miracle cure. While she has not yet found what she seeks, the spirits have seemingly acknowledged her respectful efforts and have granted her a form of spirit knowledge: understanding of an ancient dalpoki staff fighting style which she is still just beginning to understand.
