Healina, the Astral Marrow, is a young shaman born to the dense, mist-shrouded jungles of the remote island of Shartak. Her journey into shamanism began at the age of fourteen during the Night of the Bleeding Moon. Struck down by a violent, unexplainable fever that the village elders called the "spirit sickness," Healina spent seven days on the brink of death.
While her body lay cold, her soul was pulled upward, breaking through the suffocating jungle canopy for the very first time. In that vision, she beheld the blinding, eternal expanse of the cosmos. The stars did not just shine above her; they spoke to her, etching their celestial maps directly into her mind. When she finally awoke, her fever had broken, but she was permanently changed. The spirits of the island’s ancestors began whispering in her ear, and she possessed a terrifying new gift: the ability to peer into the fabric of time.
Now, Healina serves as her people’s bridge between the earth and the infinite void. She reads the paths of the stars in the nights sky, communes with the unseen dead, and throws bleached ancestor bones upon the dirt—interpreting how the cosmic dust aligns with mortal fate. Now in her twentieth cycle, her eyes hold the ancient weight of the universe, earning her the revered title of the Astral Marrow: the shaman who carries the light of the stars deep within her bones.
