Description:

*
Stargoyle cuts an imposing figure over other, smaller beings, and is adept at throwing around his size to make his point. His outer coverings are mostly an aquamarine color, with accents of yellow and purple, and crimson eyes. He has a masklike, near expressionless face, locked in a permenant stern frown. His totem form has gifted him with winglike protrusions on his back (burned on with various symbols as well as his Clan Insignia) that can, at rest, fold down into a cape that conceal a rifle or even a heavy sword. Also been known to occasionally fire a big gold coin or two at people. His rifles are custom models shaped like sleek water creatures. He was once the chief of security for a self-sufficient Island Colony.
*
His life and work, friends and family, inhabited this colony... And then, one day, an enemy thought imprisoned broke free, and ran loose in town. They had a lust for destruction, and tore the colony apart, killing everyone he ever held dear, and destroying the life he knew. After the base villain escaped the colony, Stargoyle vowed he would not rest until all his antagonists were hunted and destroyed. For years, he followed their path of destruction through various worlds.
*
Finally, Stargoyle brought some of them down.
*
Uncertain of how to destroy these monsters, who were seemingly possessed of an indestructable world-corrupting nature, Stargoyle brought the topic before The TypeCastle High Ruling Council, hoping that they would have the solution to undo these terrible mistakes. However, they were incapable of (or, as he might sometimes suspect, were simply unwilling to) destroy the troublerousers, he knew that the High Council's plans would fail, and instead decided to track the movements of the thugs. Stargoyle could have rested easy for a time, finding the psychoactives inactive, but, after a few years had passed, Stargoyle began to sense a trace of a signal, somewhere out there.
*
Knowing right away that this was trouble, he followed the signal to its source, even driving into a time-rift anomaly that shot over his body and changed him into a totemic form. Stargoyle's one seater craft crashed and sunk but he was able to ride ashore with a Manta Ray. Stargoyle's tracking skills allowed him to locate one enemy before they destroyed his submerged ship and only means of escape from this island. However, he also met up with other crash survivors: the pirate crew of the shipwreck, to be precise, plus a few other types of island inhabitants. As it turns out, there are wars being fought here: some of them small-scale wars with a large-scale importance, where the stakes included the fate of Shartak, and the very fabric of the world. Though he were actually a bit bemused by the situation's drama, he had found that The Worldwrecking Enemy was a part of these battles, and, so, joined the Chaotic Animal Tribe's side of the war. His stance is usually "You're not my enemy? Then you're not my problem." Stargoyle's single-mindedness is well-recognized among his allies. He arrived looking for the enemy, he's still looking for the enemy, and he means to destroy the enemy.
*
Everything else is just details. If his senses show that they are in the vicinity, everything elsethe others, the orders, the mission—takes a back seat. Stargoyle is sometimes abrasive to others, and talks down to them, but inside he know that preserving life is important, just as there was a time when it was his duty not to hunt and kill, but to protect the lives of others.
*
Stargoyle feels no responsibility toward the others in his clan on a personal level, but on a professional level, they are still his clan, and a clan does not succeed without teamwork. Stargoyle will accept orders that are not in conflict with his primary missions. He will even risk himself to save others. His will for self-sacrifice comes from an inner sense not of heroism, but of despair... he can often think of nothing more he wants from life than to destroy the corruptors, and he may have little to nothing at all to go back to once they are gone. But until then "Can it, you incompetent. An intruder is out there! I've gotta hand it to you, when you screw up...you do it big time. ... Go chase a mouse."
*
02/01/10: Stargoyle lands on Shartak. He officially joins the clan, but will always be somewhat of a rogue operative being that he has a long-reaching background with a lot of angst and hence Distrust.
