"Segismundo Habsburgo" is an alias of a mercenary from Holstein. He claims to have been in the employ of the Habsburgs of Austria and Spain, but this is unconfirmed. Intrigued by the New World, he has travelled to York, which he calls "Jorwig".
Segismundo avenged the murder of a York surgeon by killing the pirate who slew him. He also killed a pirate upon request so that the pirate could "magically" appear at his ship.
