Not actually a doctor yet, this aspirant anthropologist hopes to complete his doctor's thesis by researching the island and its natives.
His first recorded experience with the locals was one introducing him to the business end of the native's club. Later on, one of the natives crept upon him during his sleep and decapitated him, peculiarly gifting him a bottle of absinthe before the deed. Interestingly enough, with the help of the local shaman, Dr. Vogelbottom was brought back to life. What an odd event!
His second recorded experience was with a certain cannibal, who acted in a predictable way. After a brief out-of-body experience and watching his remains get devoured, the aspiring doctor was again brought into the realm of the living. Is this a common event on these islands?
Although generally a pacifist, he has had to protect himself against the local fauna. Nothing of their remains were wasted; they were all used for advancing Vogelbottom's scientific pursuits.
On the third of October, 2018, Vogelbottom completed his circumnavigation of the island. It seems that there are additional minuscule islands surrounding the main one.
Currently, Vogelbottom is mapping out the southern half of the main island for ease of navigation.
